Home Care Aide Positions

Gareda is currently hiring for the Home Care Aide position.

  • What are the qualifications to apply as a Home Care Aide with Gareda?

    The most important qualification of becoming a Gareda Home Care Aide is having a passion for caregiving, a willingness to serve and good moral character. In addition all applicants must be at least 18 years of age, must have at a minimum a high school diploma/GED or the required experience. Applicants must also successfully complete Gareda's employment screening process, which includes an interview, background check and training. For more information refer to our Career section.

  • What is a Preferred Worker or Paid Family Caregiver?

    A Preferred Worker (PW) is a non family member chosen by the client or the clients' family to provide services. They cannot be an authorized representative for the relative and cannot be legally responsible for the client (e.g. a power of attorney, guardian, spouse, representative payees).
    A Paid Family Caregiver (PFC) is a family member that has been hired by an agency to provide services to relatives. They cannot be an authorized representative for the relative and cannot be legally responsible for the client (e.g. a power of attorney, guardian, spouse, representative payees).

  • How do I become a Preferred Worker or Paid Family Caregiver?

    To become a PW or PFC you must be fully employed by Gareda which means that you must apply and meet all hiring standards and requirements.
